About Me

I have long been interested in gorgeous nails, and just decided to start sharing photos of what I do! Please be kind! :) Also, if you just like mug and polish photos, check out the tumblr version! morningnailspiration.tumblr.com If you would be interested in having me review your products, send me an email at morningnailspiration (at) gmail (dot) com. When I review products, I usually do 1-2 polishes in a post and wear them for at least 24 hours (for wear tests) before snapping photos. My turn around time on polishes is currently under a week!

Liquid Sky Lacquer Swerve

“He awoke each morning with the desire to do right, to be a good and meaningful person, to be, as simple as it sounded and as impossible as it actually was, happy. And during the course of each day his heart would descend from his chest into his stomach. By early afternoon he was overcome by the feeling that nothing was right, or nothing was right for him, and by the desire to be alone. By evening he was fulfilled: alone in the magnitude of his grief, alone in his aimless guilt, alone even in his loneliness. I am not sad, he would repeat to himself over and over, I am not sad. As if he might one day convince himself. Or fool himself. Or convince others--the only thing worse than being sad is for others to know that you are sad. I am not sad. I am not sad. Because his life had unlimited potential for happiness, insofar as it was an empty white room. He would fall asleep with his heart at the foot of his bed, like some domesticated animal that was no part of him at all. And each morning he would wake with it again in the cupboard of his rib cage, having become a little heavier, a little weaker, but still pumping. And by the midafternoon he was again overcome with the desire to be somewhere else, someone else, someone else somewhere else. I am not sad.”

- Jonathan Safran Foer, Everything Is Illuminated

Polish Information: This extreme holo is Liquid Sky Lacquer Swerve! It's described as a bright blue holographic polish! Application was very easy, and it is EXTREMELY holographic. I actually think it looks more like a dusty blue, but it is a brighter dusty blue if that makes sense. It almost seemed to have an extra layer to it, like there was an extra dimensionality to it. I'd say it looks like 2 shades lighter than Enchanted Polish's Bruised Nutcracker. That's the closest comparison I can think of for it! I used two thin coats with butter LONDON's top and base coat for all of the following photos.

The holo was really easy to see, even without the sun outside, and for sure with ANY kind of indoor light:

Final thoughts: This was a gorgeous dusky blue with strong holographic pigment that wore very well and applied easily. The color was fascinating to me, and it's hard to describe, but certainly very unique! I loved wearing it (and am still doing so)!

If you want your own, and I think you probably do, check out Liquid Sky Lacquer on facebook or buy it at her shop, here!  Such a great holo!

Please note: This polish was provided to me for my honest review.  All opinions are my own!
